Matt had been around music and the world of DJing virtually his whole life. He began by accompanying his father on various gigs at a young age and started taking on his own gigs at the age of 15. Starting off with parties in the birthday / college / club scenes he then started looking into the world of weddings as well, leading him to his relationship with Main Event. Master of mixing and reading the crowd are Matt’s skills that keep the dancefloor packed all night long!

I design and engineer audio visual systems. I’ve designed AV systems from drive-thrus to operating rooms and everything in between! I love that I get to keep up with the new technology as it comes out and constantly be learning new things.

I still love playing and writing music with my band, though its more just an excuse to get friends together now! Also a big fan of running!

Matt did an amazing job at our wedding. He was polite, courteous and did everything we had discussed at our meetings. We asked for a couple changes last minute and he was so calm and amazing about it. He was fun and all our guests made comments on how terrific our dj was and asked us where we found him so if they needed an entertainer they could look him up, they loved him. Our wedding reception was a lot of fun and Matt was a major reason why. We would use his services and Main Event again definitely. Thanks you so much for helping make our big day a huge success.

Main Event was a fantastic vendor to work with, great communication, organized, professional. Our DJ, Matt Perez, killed it! Our conversations prior to the wedding were great and he was very helpful in helping us pick all the right music, including some suggestions for the ceremony/special events. The dance floor was full all night, all ages guests! Matt also took great care of other details above and beyond his role. His equipment was professional and looked great in the space. Very happy and would recommend if you are looking for an fun event! Everyone had a great time and multiple people said Best DJ ever!
DJ Matt Perez was AMAZING. The energy in the room was crazy right from the start of the night and didn’t end until the very last song. He exuded such professionalism while also being so fun and personable. I couldn’t be more impressed. The first thing our guests told us about our day is how amazing Matt was and how much fun they had on the dance floor. His ability to read the room and play music that we all loved was unmatched. I can’t recommend him enough- he made our day!
