It’s time to book your DJ! In order to create your contract, there are a few things your vendor will need to know!
1. Who is going to be signing the contract? Are you working with a planner or someone else who is bankrolling your event?
We will need to know this information to make sure that we are putting the correct names and contact information on the contract.
BONUS: if you’re working with a planner, would you like all communication to go through them?
2. What kind of event are you booking a DJ for?
Each event is different. Each client is different. It’s our pleasure as DJs to take a personalized approach to creating an event that you will never forget. Whether it’s a Wedding, Birthday, Bat/Bar Mitzvah, Quinceañera, Corporate Event, Anniversary, etc. We are excited to plan it with you and help set the tone through music choices and event flow!
3. What’s the date of your event?
This is a MUST!
Without knowing the date we can’t check availability, create a contract, or book a DJ!
4. What is the name of the venue where your event is being hosted?
You can absolutely schedule a vendor without a venue confirmation. However, we always recommend having your venue secured before you schedule a DJ or other event entertainment. Knowing the time it takes to travel to the venue, load into the venue, and what kind of setup is necessary based on the size of the venue are all important details your DJ will take into consideration when getting ready for your event!
BONUS: Having the location also allows for Travel Fee transparency!
5. What is the start time of your event? What is the end time of your event?
How long do we get to party? Need we say more?
Knowing the length of your event gives your DJ time to build a working library of music to utilize on the day that delights your guests and keeps the dance floor packed!
6. Which DJ are you booking?
We know it seems obvious, but we would really like to know who you’re booking! It’s important that you’re choosing the DJ that best fits your event! If you’re not sure how to choose a DJ ask for a demo video or a one on one meeting!
7. Is the event a surprise?
We love surprises when we get to be part of them! Being surprised on the day of the event? Not so much. Our office staff and our DJs are very discreet and want to help out if we can! So please make sure to let us know if there is a surprise that we should be aware of so that we can keep it on the DL.
8. Who is the guest of honor?
If there is a guest of honor, it is important that we have their name somewhere on the contract so we start the celebration off right! Of course, you’ll have a Details Meeting with your DJ to go over all of the specifics of your event, but we like to be ahead of the curve!
