Jay made every step of the planning process as easy as possible. He did research on the songs & artists I requested, and it showed. He listened to every single question Clare & I had, and answered them in the quickest fashion. He was on time, if not early, and he was courteous to all the guests. 11/10 for Jay! I attended a wedding this past weekend that Joey Dion was DJing. What a great time!! He was so creative and so much fun!! At no point was he on “auto-pilot”. At one point, in one of the speeches, someone mentioned listening to Bone Thugs N Harmony when they were young, and as they finished the speech, he started playing “Crossroads”. Such a riot!! Everyone got a kick out of it!! He was so involve and kept the dance floor full all night. I’ve never been to an event where a DJ could read a crowd so well. Always full of surprises and had us laughing all night. Thanks for a great time Joey!!

Adam was our DJ for our 02/10/24 wedding. He was the central piece of our party! As we were planning the wedding, he took the time to get to know us via a zoom call to discuss the details. Matt did an amazing job at our wedding. He was polite, courteous and did everything we had discussed at our meetings. We asked for a couple changes last minute and he was so calm and amazing about it. He was fun and all our guests made comments on how terrific our dj was and asked us where we found him so if they needed an entertainer they could look him up, they loved him. Kelly did an amazing job with all of our music choices throughout the ceremony, entrances, dinner, and reception. It’s so hard to keep on top of things during your own wedding, especially the timeline without looking at a clock, and Kelly made sure everything went according to plan. She was on the ball with what was happening next, even when we were overwhelmed with the chaos of the day. She was right there with the flowers we were presenting to my aunt for her birthday and brought them over to us for a quick transition to keep things moving. And she did an awesome job of going with the flow (but also checking in with us) when the timeline of the day didn’t quite go according to plan and rolling with plan B. Everyone had fun and we can’t thank her enough.

Our DJ Tom Darling was so amazing! From going out in the heat and humidity making sure our sound checks were perfect for the ceremony to understanding our facial cues when my husband and I didn’t realize how long 40 seconds was for our first dance! Tom was fantastic. There’s always a bit of concern when a Dj says they’ll read the room to interpret what type of music to play and make sure the night flows, but with Tom he didn’t read the room, he wrote it! If you book Tom, and I highly suggest you do, make sure he gets up and dances to all the cheesy songs with you. One of the nights shining moments!

DJ Kibar was absolutely top notch. He kept up with us in terms of contact and information from booking up until our wedding date. He would check in with us periodically and had meetings in order to make sure we had all of our main musical selections chosen and organized. He ensured our wedding ran smoothly and worked great with our coordinator. He played piano for our ceremony and it was fantastic. Our guests loved his transitions and kept complimenting his DJ’ing style and he took care in what music was played for our wedding based on our tastes. I am not sure I can adequately explain how thrilled not only my husband and I were, but since the event I’ve had numerous phone calls full of praise him. Jay was the DJ for my combined 70th birthday and retirement party and we had asked for fairly specific artists, as the crowd was a bit older than what you would typically find at a wedding. However, the way Jay spun those tunes and the dancing on the floor, you would have thought you were in fact at a wedding! What a party! What a FABULOUS time! Over and above that, Jay is personable, knowledgeable and very professional and fun! I know we would hire him again in a heartbeat and I’m pretty sure some of the guests have his contact information. You won’t be disappointed going with Jay!

Dan Pelletier was such a great DJ for our graduate school formal. He was sure to take our song requests without question. There was not a single song we did not like, and everyone had so much fun dancing and singing along. His attention to reading the crowd at times during dinner and when everyone was done eating with regards to song selection were spot on, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. He was also prepared prior to the event start, which was so calming and reassuring to the event coordinators. We will definitely be contacting him for future events.

Meet the DJs Night was AWESOME! It was great to chat with some of the DJs and get to know them a little more rather than making a blind decision and risking not having a connection with whoever we chose. Everyone was so kind and personable, and it made us feel so comfortable going with Main Event. Everyone was so helpful, and didn’t put pressure on us to choose someone that night. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality DJ!

We weren’t really sure what to expect going in but I have to say we were pleasantly surprised. The team at Main Event Entertainment greeted us right away. They were friendly and welcoming. They took the time to ask about our needs and go over their offerings with us. My fiance and I had joked about sampling DJ’s in order to find one for our wedding. In reality, this was the perfect opportunity to do just that. We really got a feel for each DJ and what sort of energy and experience they brought to the table. Brien Lafferty was amazing. We had a small-ish informal wedding in September. Brien’s choice of music allowed EVERYONE the opportunity to get up and dance, fast or slow. I think songs should vary in that way so all can have fun. Ive been to weddings where there may be just a handful of slower songs and I feel that its not always enjoyable for the people that dont like to get up and dance the faster ones. I really appreciated Brien’s decision to change it up. Thank you so much for helping to make our day so much fun and memorable!
